Contact / Get Started
You do not need to know what kind of appointment to book
If you are thinking about coming in, the easiest place to start is simply to contact me.
You do not need to decide ahead of time whether manual therapy, Chinese herbal care, or some combination makes the most sense.
Tell me what has been going on.
You can ask whatever questions you already have, I can ask a few of my own if they are useful, and we can figure out whether what I do seems like a reasonable place to start.
Texting is absolutely fine. If making another phone call is the last thing you want to do, just send me a message.
What happens when you contact me?
There is no scripted screening call and no need to prepare a perfect summary.
Most people simply tell me their story.
I usually give you enough room to explain what has been happening, what you have already been through, and what you are trying to figure out.
I may ask follow-up questions if something needs clarification, if I am concerned about whether we are a good fit, or if there is a medical issue that may need another kind of attention.
Often the conversation itself gives us useful information while also giving you a better sense of what your options are.
The purpose is not to convince you to schedule.
It is to figure out whether scheduling makes sense.
Before your first appointment
Once we schedule, I will email you the intake paperwork.
The simplest option is to print it, fill it out, and bring it with you.
If you know how to type directly into a PDF, you are also welcome to do that. You can print the completed copy and bring it, or email the completed file back to me and I can print it here.
If neither option is practical, let me know. I can leave a paper copy for you in the lobby; in that case, plan to arrive about 20–30 minutes early.
Bring any information you already have that seems relevant—imaging reports, lab results, medication information, previous evaluations, or other records.
You do not need to track down information you do not already have easy access to.
If something specific becomes important after we meet, I will let you know.
Appointments
All appointments are scheduled for one hour.
Manual therapy is performed fully clothed. Shorts and a T-shirt or similar comfortable clothing work best.
The office is on the ground floor with wheelchair access.
For manual therapy, you generally need to be able to get on and off the treatment table. I am happy to help within reason, but if you cannot move around safely without physical assistance, please bring someone who can assist you.
Hours
Wednesday–Saturday
10:00 AM–6:00 PM
By appointment only
Pricing
Manual therapy: $135 per visit
Chinese herbal care: $150 per visit, including the custom herbal formula
Optional six-visit packages are available:
Manual therapy: $115 per visit
Chinese herbal care: $135 per visit
There is no special incentive to buy a package on the first visit. You are welcome to start pay-as-you-go and decide later.
If a shorter course of care makes more sense, I am not going to push a larger package simply because it exists.
Unused prepaid visits are refundable.
For herbal patients whose appointments can safely be spread from every two weeks to every four weeks while maintaining the same dose, an additional supply of herbs is $45.
Insurance, HSA and FSA
I do not accept or bill insurance directly.
I can provide detailed receipts with billing codes if you would like to submit them for possible reimbursement.
HSA/FSA funds are commonly used here. Eligibility and documentation requirements vary by expense and plan; herbal products may require additional medical-necessity documentation. Please check with your plan administrator.
Cancellation & Rescheduling
Please give at least 24 hours' notice when possible.
If you cancel or reschedule with less than 24 hours' notice, the fee is 50% of the scheduled visit. A missed appointment without notice is charged at the full visit price.
I do not charge for genuine emergencies or sudden illness. And if I am able to fill the appointment with someone else, I waive the late-cancellation fee.
The purpose of the policy is not to penalize someone because life happened. An appointment reserves an hour that I cannot offer to somebody else, so the fee is there when that time is lost.
If something comes up, just let me know as soon as you reasonably can.
Questions between visits are welcome
If symptoms change, an exercise is causing trouble, you have a question about your herbs, or something about the plan no longer makes sense, you are welcome to call or text between appointments.
I usually respond to texts the same day when I am in town.
Messages sent during office hours are often answered by the end of the business day. Messages outside those hours may still be answered fairly quickly, but I do not want to promise an exact turnaround.
If I am out of town, responses may take longer.
This is not an emergency service. If something requires urgent medical attention, use the appropriate medical or emergency resource rather than waiting for a reply from me.
Ready to start?
You do not need to know what the problem is called.
You do not need to know which service to choose.
And you do not need to organize your story perfectly before contacting me.
Just tell me what has been going on.
